We’re very proud to announce that Aztec have Passed a Surveillance Audit with Ease! As mentioned in the last few blog posts Aztec underwent a IMS audit. IMS stands for Integrated Management System and this is what we use to ensure we stay compliant. Our IMS lays out the procedures we need to follow specific international standards. These standards are well known throughout industry and ensure that our customers are buying a quality product. For more information, please read on;

ISO 9001 Quality Management

ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to. It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

Aztec are currently in the process of making the transition from ISO 2008 to ISO 2015.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management

ISO 14001:2015 and its supporting standards such as ISO 14006:2011 focus on environmental systems to achieve this. The other standards in the family focus on specific approaches such as audits, communications, labelling and life cycle analysis, as well as environmental challenges such as climate change.

OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management

OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognised occupational, health and safety management system series standard. The OHSAS 18001 standard is based on the similar ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Plan – DO – Check – Act structure.  To achieve certification to OHSAS 18001 an organisation must have a health and safety management system compliant with the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard. The standard also requires a company to have appropriate health and safety policies, procedures and protocols to ensure it is a safety conscientious organisation.
